ECHO Creative Club December Reveal

Merry Christmas everyone!! I was honored to be gifted some of Jeannie's beautiful peeled paint polymer clay beads to create something with for the Echo creative club December group. The beads are just beautiful - smooth and round with a peeled paint effect of copper with gold flashes on black. Here are what the beads looked like when I received them. There were more than 4, but I'd already used some in the design when I remembered I needed to get a before photo of the beads! (my bad, promise it won't happen again!)

I first decided to do a bracelet with them, and I paired them with a copper toggle clasp, a couple of lampwork glass beads in black, ivory, & amber, black obsidian, and Swarovski crystals in topaz and crystal golden shadow. I wire wrapped the beads together in a continuous beaded chain with 22 gauge wire. I then made a pair of earrings since I had a few beads leftover. I paired the beads in the earrings with crystal copper Swarovski crystals and an arte metal butterfly that is lightly dusted with a coppery shimmer.

Here is the Bracelet
It looks great on the wrist, the copper and neutral color scheme works with many colors and outfits.  It is boho enough to be casual while still being nice enough to be dressed up. I'm very happy with it and keeping it all for myself...Merry Christmas to me, thanks Jeannie!!

Here are the Earrings
I think they are fun and the butterflies make them different from the norm, and I like the shape and length it gives the earrings.

Merry Christmas to you indeed. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, that you use so many different beads in the bracelet. It's so beautiful and bold and shows you can pair any beads with my Peeled Paint beads. Bravo! The earrings are extraordinarily cool and the arte metal is perfect. Thanks Jessica and Merry Christmas

Hi, Jessica! I did not recognize you name at first, and them I realized that you have a lot of designs in Bead Trends magazine. I really enjoy seeing them. I LOVE the earrings you created. Butterflies (and turtles) are my favorite nature theme. The bracelet is very pretty also. The variety of beads really makes it special.

I see we had the same beautiful beads to work with this month Jessica! I love how you accented the variegated colors from Jeannie's beads with the crystals and wire. I also love how well those wonderful lampworked beads look in your design, and how long and lovely those earrings are! Merry Christmas!

About Me

My photo
Jessica
I'm a mother of 2 boys and a wife to a great guy named Donovan, who is also extremely artistic and talented. I love to laugh, listen to music (or rather rock out to it), dance, sing, and in general I'm a fun loving kind of girl. I try not to take myself or others too seriously. I'm an advocate for autism awareness because I have a son who has autism, so that is something I feel passionately about. I also love art and am currently a jewelry designer. I had a Real Estate license for 10 years, but I'm in the process of retiring it now to focus on jewelry full time. My designs have been featured in Bead Trends Magazine, including the December 2012 cover, and I am a member of the Artisan Group. Through that organization, I sent jewelry to the Oscars and NY Fashion Week swag bags, the Wendy Williams show, and to over 30 high profile, eco-conscious celebrities for an exclusive Earth day gifting opportunity. These stars include Leonardo DiCaprio, Drew Barrymore, Emma Watson, Julia Roberts, and Meryl Streep, just to name a few. My design was used on the show, "Parenthood," in April of 2014. I am teaching a jewelry class at the Athens Arts Center this summer as well.
